You get a discussion of black and white and color sketching with a focus on colored pencil as an. Jim was trained as an architect back when freehand sketching and perspective were an integral part of the curriculum. Jim guest lectures in the Architecture Program at Iowa State and teaches sketching at Marine Mills Craft School. An inveterate world traveler, persistent writer and relentless sketcher, Jim has been published in professional journals and on a number of websites. When not traveling, writing or teaching he enjoys working as arborist on his 18-acre farmstead in Minnesota.
